Rams "Want Very Much" To Trade Out Of No. 2 Overall Pick

Rams coach Jeff Fisher has already expressed the team is open to the possibility of trading the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. But according to Dan Pompei of the National Football Post, the Rams want very much to trade the second pick of the draft, and are hoping a market develops for Robert Griffin. If they can’t deal, the Rams could stay put and take Justin Blackmon or Matt Kalil, but they would be better served with a trade down. Among the needs the team has identified are a cornerback, outside linebacker, defensive tackle, offensive tackle and two wide receivers.

They should take Kalil, but if this is true they're losing some leverage for that pick

fisher knows that the rams have a TON of holes to fill and they should be able to load up on some picks if they can find a buyer (ala Mike Ditka and Ricky)

They are hoping someone is willing to overspend on landing Robert Griffin. Rams better choose well with the picks they will get for the top pick. Draft flops could derail the Jeff Fisher express before it leaves the station.

Fisher has said in interviews that he'd like to trade out get multiple picks and possibly trade back up. He's also stated that he would be happy to select a player at #2. Typical pre-draft talk...
