Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Walking Without A Limp On Eve Of Super Bowl

Rob Gronkowski walked without a limp as the New England Patriots gathered for photographs on Saturday. Gronkowski, recovering from a high left ankle sprain, and his teammates posed for official team Super Bowl photos and pictures with family members at Lucas Oil Stadium the day before the championship game against the New York Giants. Coach Bill Belichick said it was good to see his players enjoying the day. Before the session, he said he thought Gronkowski was feeling better. After Friday’s final team practice, the All-Pro tight end was listed as questionable for the game.

Like I said before...you can look totally normal walking with a high ankle sprain...the pain doesn't come in until he's on his toes running. That will be the real test. Getting into the game and playing on it, then surviving a 30 minute half time...that's the tough part. High ankle sprains aren't really those kind of injuries you can shoot up either.

I think the first half he should be fine. It's coming out of a long halftime that worries me.

Welker will need to pick up the slack too. But Gronk's size in the redzone can't be replaced.

True. I think he'll be involved early on, but that halftime when the pain killers start wearing off, the swelling starts with the 30 minute halftime and the adrenaline starting to wear down...that's gonna be the tough part.

Pretty obvious he was massively fucked up. Didn't make any impact.
