Ravens Hire Don Martindale To Coach Linebackers

The Baltimore Ravens have hired Don "Wink" Martindale to coach their inside linebackers, Mike Klis of The Denver Post reports. Martindale was the Denver Broncos linebackers coach in 2009 before he was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2010. The Broncos ranked 32nd in total defense, 31st against the run and 25th in scoring defense and Martindale was not retained when John Fox was named head coach. Martindale coached linebackers with the Oakland Raiders from 2004-08 and replaces Dean Pees, who has been promoted to defensive coordinator when Chuck Pagano become the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
