One of those players contemplating a change is Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who was possibly moving from No. 28 to No. 23. To change a number, Peterson would have had to purchase the back stock of his old jersey, a figure that resulted in a bit of sticker shock. "So I received a call and I was informed that I would (have) to buy all jerseys that's been produced (t)hus far!" Peterson wrote on Twitter. "(And) the total amount that I would have to pay blew my mind!!!!! "(And) I know I've mostly likely been in the top ten (w)hen it comes to top sales ! Why in the hell do I have to pay a Million dollars to change my number! I don't even get paid a million (d)ollars by my sponsors a year! Wow!!! (And) I'm talking about my nike deal!" Peterson is set to make $8.25 million in base salary and workout bonuses in 2012, the second season of his six-year, $85.27 million contract extension that included a $12 million signing bonus and $8.25 million base salary in 2011.
