A longtime offensive line coach, Muir, 69, was promoted to offensive coordinator for the 2011 season. The Chiefs lost starting running back Jamaal Charles and quarterback Matt Cassel to season-ending injuries and ranked 27th in total offense and 31st in scoring offense last season. Muir was not going to return the offensive coordinator, but the team had asked Muir to return as offensive line coach, Teicher adds. "I feel badly because they want me to stay," Muir said. "I’m not leaving because of anything that has gone on or is going on or will go on with the Chiefs. This is a personal decision. It’s very personal. I’ve been denying myself a lot of things over the years but I’m at a point in my life where I want to do some other things." Source: Mac's Football Blog
