Jets Try Out Rugby Player Hayden Smith

Aaron Wilson of Profootball.scout.com reports the New York Jets tried out Australian rugby player Hayden Smith, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Smith wasn't immediately signed to a contract, though. A 6-foot-7, 240-pounder originally from Penrith, Austraila who attended Metropolitan State in Denver, Smith began playing rugby in the seventh grade.
