Knapp was the Raiders offensive coordinator from 2007-08 and spent a season as the Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator before landing his current job as the Houston Texans' quarterbacks coach. The 48-year-old Knapp has also coordinated offenses with the San Francisco 49ers (2001-03) and Atlanta Falcons (2004-06). By accepting the position, Knapp takes over an offense that ranked 10th and ninth in total offense and sixth and 16th in scoring offense in two seasons under Hue Jackson, who coordinated the offense in 2010 before one season spent as the head coach.
