| Dolphins Hire George Edwards To Coach Linebackers | | | The Miami Dolphins announced several coaching moves on Monday, including the re-hiring of linebackers coach George Edwards. Edwards spent five seasons (2005-09) as the Dolphins linebackers coach before leaving the team for a defensive coordinator position at the University of Florida, but left the spot for the same position with the Buffalo Bills. Prior to his first stint with the Dolphins, Edwards coached linebackers with the Dallas Cowboys (1998-2001), was linebackers then defensive coordinator with the Washington Redskins (2002-03) and coached linebackers with the Cleveland Browns. In addition to Edwards, the Dolphins have hired former Nebraska quarterback Zac Taylor as the assistant quarterbacks coach. Tight ends coach Dan Campbell, strength coach Darren Krein and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi have been retained from Tony Sparano's staff. Source: Mac's Football Blog
