Aaron Rodgers is the most marketable player in the NFL, according to a survey of top sports business executives and analysts conducted by SportsBusiness Daily. The Green Bay Packers quarterback tops a list that, not surprisingly, is quarterback heavy. He edged out New England’s Tom Brady, Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning, New Orleans’ Drew Brees and Denver newcomer Tim Tebow for the top spot. Interstingly, Brady received more first-place votes than Rodgers, whose profile has taken off somewhat in the last few months with the State Farm commercials he is in. New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning comes in seventh, one spot behind the top-ranked defensive player – Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu. Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton is eighth.
I've always found him to be rather boring in his interviews so I don't see how he's that marketable. He's alright in the State Farm commercials though. I think Peyton Manning in his "prime" was the most marketable. You couldn't even watch an hour of TV with0ut seeing a commercial he was in.
He is a terrible interview. And actor. I'd take Brees if I wanted to get the most likeable guy out there and Brady if I wanted the guy with the most prestige.
