| Bills Still Looking To Extend RB Fred Jackson's Contract | | | C.J. Spiller's performance in replacing Fred Jackson was a very positive sign for the Bills from an organizational standpoint. Spiller's 561 rushing yards with a 5.2-yard rushing average, 269 receiving yards and six total touchdowns means the ninth overall pick from the 2010 draft likely is not the bust many thought. It also takes some pressure off the team when it comes to an extension for Jackson, who was one of the better backs in the league before breaking his leg in Week 11. The Pro Football Weekly hears it, the team still feels a loyalty to Jackson, and GM Buddy Nix was quick to remind reporters earlier this month that Jackson is under contract through the 2012 season, so there is no rush to sign an extension. Nix added that he wants Jackson to finish his career as a Bill. Source: Pro Football Weekly
