| Seahawks WR Sidney Rice Had Surgery On Both Shoulders | | | After suffering a pair of concussions in a short period of time, the Seattle Seahawks placed wide receiver Sidney Rice on injured reserve on November 30. Rice had been playing throwing foot and knee injuries, as well as a torn labrum in his right shoulder that delayed his debut with his new team and would require surgery in the offseason. According to Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com, Rice had surgery on both of his shoulders, not just the one with the torn labrum. Signed a five-year, $41 million contract with the Seahawks in July, Rice's contract included $18.5 million in guaranteed money. That guarantee consists of a $6 million signing bonus, fully guaranteed base salaries of $2 million in 2011 and $7 million in 2012 and a $3.5 million injury-only guarantee on his $8.5 million base salary in 2013.
