Lions receivers coach Shawn Jefferson and defensive backs coach Tim Walton are expected to re-sign with their team by the end of this week. According to several sources, Detroit re-signed the majority of its coaching staff prior to this week's Senior Bowl in Mobile. Running backs coach Sam Gash recently re-signed, while Walton and Jefferson have not signed yet. Both appear close to finalizing their contracts. Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew was asked by MLive.com to confirm if the team had only two open positions remaining, but declined to comment.
