well, i think the fact that the titans didn't re-sign finnegan prior to getting to this point tells me that the titans don't think finnegan holds the value that he's asking for.
finnegan is in the prime of his career and i believe is a very good cornerback ............ a true #1. maybe the titans feel he has just benefitted from their system, and that may be a valid argument, but finnegan is probably going to get paid.
Under the new CBA, a player like Finnegan is going to make bank............. I would say he's looking at something like a 5-year $70 mill type of deal and maybe the titans just aren't willing to pay that. |
