According to Steve Wyche of NFL Network, league sources say the Cleveland Browns has interest in selecting Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. Coach Pat Shurmur declined to say whether incumbent starter Colt McCoy would be the teams starting quarterback in 2012. President Mike Holmgren declined to say if McCoy can be a franchise quarterback and isn't ready to anoint him yet.

Perhaps the Browns should look to shore up that O-line and defense before they go looking for a franchise QB.

Exactly what I thought. Personally, I think they need play-makers more than anything.

the browns need a qb. it's very simple.

the only single move that can turn around a franchise overnight IS to get a franchise QB .................. look at the colts ............... look at the patriots .......... look at the saints ....... look at the packers ........ look at the lions ............ hell, the steelers couldn't win another SB till Ben got there ..........

there is NO question that the QB position is the most important single position for a football team, and that includes coaching and front office people.

Tom Brady has made more millionaires than anyone in this country in ANY business in the last 10 years with all of the coaches that have gotten huge contracts riding on his back ......................................

I'd be content with it at 4 but I don't think it shakes out that way, I think he's going 2 and I'll be upset if it's us giving up additional picks to get him. While I'm not sold on Colt as any of the guys listed above for the Browns, I think either he or Seneca are capable enough for the near future and the team would be better served continuing to build talent and fill holes, which still or will exist at RT, WR, CB, DE, OLB, FS and possibly RB.

At 4 I don't hate Richardson or a trade down. I'm personally not a big fan of Blackmon and would dislike that pick so high.

Either way I think you'll see some misinformation from the Browns over the next few months, and some moving up and/or down to get the targets they like, just as they did last year.
