Cowboys Unlikely To Retain LB's Anthony Spencer, Kenyon Coleman
Posted By: SteveRobWhatever 01-14-2012 , 06:44 PM

Cowboys observers expect the strong side of the defense to look different next season. That means the team is likely to replace DRE Kenyon Coleman and allow LOLB Anthony Spencer to test the free-agent market. Coleman was a placeholder, nothing more. Although he's a strong run defender, Spencer simply hasn't developed as a pass rusher the way the team had hoped. He could return, but the Cowboys won't spend a lot to keep him.

that's true. I don't understand why the Cowboys are satisfied with such mediocre DE's.

I really hope that we are not

Word is that we are finally move Ratliff to DE. That gives me alot of hope. But out of everything else on our line, Lissemore is the only player im excited about

They wanted to keep Bowen, and ultimatly when they could thought Hatcher would do the same thing. He cant be counted on, he is only good in spurts

Spencer is just a JAG. Not a liability, but not a notable player either. We've had some good lines before and he was the same as he is now

Spencer is a jack of all, master of none
