Vikings RB Toby Gerhart, who injured his knee in the Vikings season finale against the Bears, will not need surgery to repair his sprained MCL, which can heal with rest and rehabilitation, 1500 ESPN reported Saturday. That is good news for the offense, with No. 1 RB Adrian Peterson currently rehabbing his torn ACL and MCL.
