During the search for the new head coach of the Jaguars one name that was reportedly in the mix was Brian Schottenheimer, offensive coordinator of the New York Jets. The position instead went to Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey and Schottenheimer has since been relieved from his position in New York. So it's not particularly surprising that ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Jaguars have contacted Schottenheimer about their vacant offensive coordinator position. Schottenheimer reportedly had a meeting with owner Shahid Khan in New York that went "very well" according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
