Steve Spagnuolo Expected To Re-Join The Eagles

Steve Spagnuolo is expected to join the takeover as the leader of the Philadelphia Eagles defense by the end of the week, according to Philly.com. The 52-year-old former head coach previously served as a defensive coach for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999-2006 under Andy Reid. According to the Philly.com report, it is believed he will replace current defensive coordinator Juan Castillo. Spagnuolo was just recently fired after an unsuccessful three-year stint as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams. Prior to joining the Rams, Spagnuolo was considered the architect of the 2007 New York Giants defense that defeated the seemingly invincible New England Patriots in Super bowl XLII.
