The Jacksonville Jaguars have dismissed Senior Vice President of Football Operations and General Counsel Paul Vance, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. Mortensen adds that Senior Vice President of Digital Media Sashi Brown has been promoted to replace Vance, who will remain in a consultant's role through the end of next season, Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times Union reports. Vance had been with the Jaguars since 1994 and was former owner Wayne Weaver's right hand man. In addition to serving as general counsel, Vance took charge of the team's football operations in 2001, including managing the salary cap and contract negotiations.
