Randall McDaniel didn't get in on his first try either and he went to the same amount of Pro Bowls (12) and was named First-team All-Pro nine times with Will Shields.

I expect Shields to wait another year or so before he's enshrined.

That was tough leaving him out but I felt Greene deserved more.

Greene is the all-time sack leader among linebackers and ranks third all-time with 160.

Green is also one of five players to lead the NFL in sacks twice in a single season. Being back in the spotlight as an assistant with the Packers may have helped Greene cause.

I'd put Doleman in the same class with Richard Dent. Dent waited nearly 15 years before his retirement and I believe Doleman may have to wait just a bit longer.

The others have strong cases as well and the voters may want to finally put in Dawson and Bettis gets in on the first ballot because he ranks sixth all time in rushing and has a Super Bowl ring.

Parcells is also a deadlock HOF as well for winning two Super Bowls while coaching four different teams to the playoffs and taking three of them to the Conference Championship (Giants, Patriots, Jets) and two to the Super Bowl (Giants, Patriots).

Bill Parcells is a candidate unless he's picked up as GM for the Colts. Cris Carter? All he did was catch touchdowns. He deserves it too.

Parcells is not and won't be a candidate for the Colts GM position.

Parcells is a finalist and hasn't coached in 5 years so that makes him eligible. When he took a position with the Dolphins, it didn't effect his eligibility because it was a front office job, not a coaching position.

I'm sorry, Cris, but Tim has more NFL records, more pro bowls... The only stats Carter has over Brown is TDs and number of catches.... I gave TDs some heavy weight in my thought process, but Brown has over 1000 more receiving yards.

Honestly, I'd be fine with both of them being enshrined the same year... Same with Rolf and Shields let them enter The Hall together.
