The Kansas City Chiefs plan to retain interim head coach Romeo Crennel as head coach according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Crennel upset the Green Bay Packers and defeated the Denver Broncos during the final two weeks of the season. The move will be a popular one with the players in the Chiefs' locker room.

yep, the chiefs began selling this idea to the fans in kansas city shortly after firing haley and it was received well by the general public. pioli is comfortable with it because crennel knows 'the patriot way'. clark hunt is comfortable with it because he doesn't have to pay crennel as much as most head coaches. and the players like it because crennel is easy on players.

everybody is 'comfortable' with it, which isn't always the best thing. i don't like promotions from within in any situation and everyone who is comfortable right now will not be comfortable in a few years when they continue to hover around .500.
