Giants Clinch NFC East With 31-14 Win Over Cowboys

The New York Giants have defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-14 to clinch the NFC East and return to the post-season for the first time since 2008. Giants quarterback Eli Manning completed 24-of-33 pass attempts for 346 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, posting a passer rating of 136.7 while second-year wide receiver Victor Cruz, a notable Pro Bowl snub last week, caught a team-high six passes for 178 yards. Defensively, the Giants harassed Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo all night long, notching six quarterback sacks, including two by Osi Umenyiora. Defensive end Justin Tuck forced a fumble on his fourth quarter sack of Romo, which was recovered by Matthias Kiwanuka to end the game and the Cowboys' season. As the No. 4 seed, the Giants will host the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday at 1pm ET.
