NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Says HGH Testing Should Have Started By Now

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell re-emphasized tonight the importance and league’s commitment to implementing HGH testing. Goodell, speaking after the NFL and Jets hosted a health and safety forum for local youth football players at MetLife Stadium, said the league “should be testing by now” as per the collective bargaining agreement. The league and NFL Players Association included provisions for HGH testing in the new CBA agreed upon this summer, if the testing process was approved by the union. The NFLPA has asked for more information about the process in the months since. “The league has sought out all third parties to get the right answers to all those questions, and answer those questions,” Goodell said. “It’s time to get it done.” Asked if he has run out of patience with the union, Goodell said he had not, but he added that the union has “run out of questions.”
