| Cardinals Expect QB Max Hall To Return After Hard Hit | | |
Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Max Hall threw an interception on his second pass attempt. Hall took a few huge hits, including one when he held the ball too long and another when he led with his head on a scramble near the goal line. The New Orleans Saints hit Hall so hard on the latter play that Hall's helmet flew off. Backup Derek Anderson replaced Hall on the Cardinals' next series, which took Arizona into halftime trailing 13-10 but Hall apparently was not injured. He could have finished the half and the Cardinals said they expected him to return after he apparently had the wind knocked out of him.
