Redskins Release RB Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson's Redskins career lasted all of two regular-season games and five carries. The team announced Tuesday that it has released the veteran running back. "We appreciate Larry's attitude and contributions to the Redskins," Redskins general manager Bruce Allen said in a statement. "However, we needed to make a roster move in preparation for this week's game against the Rams." Johnson's release further thins out a once-overloaded Redskins' RB corps. Washington added both Johnson and Willie Parker during the offseason -- Parker didn't even last until the regular season, as he was released in early September. Now, with Johnson's departure, the Redskins are down to starter Clinton Portis and undrafted rookie Keiland Williams. Ryan Torain, who also spent the preseason in Washington, is currently a member of the Redskins' practice squad and could get a bump up.

I know what you're saying. All of those teams can use him, but I wonder how much gas he has left in his tank? And he has had some legal problems in the past.

So now the Bengals and 'Skins kick him to the curb. Wasn't so bad in KC after all, was it Larry? Agree with Crowned......Packers.
