NFLPA, Muze Partnered To Benefit Concussion Research

The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and Muze Connects have partnered in creation of a T-shirt to benefit concussion / traumatic brain injury research and awareness.

The Echoes Shirt supporting concussion research was recently released for sale to the public and features the line from Gladiator, "What we do in life echoes in eternity." Every current NFL player will receive an "Echoes" shirt in his locker room. Look for these Ts on your favorite players nationwide starting today.

"The Echoes Shirt will provide our NFL players the ability to further impact the lives of other athletes in a profound way by helping to raise awareness of sports related concussions. Our NFLPA Mackey/White Traumatic Brain Injury Committee has been commissioned to educate and protect NFL players, support independent research, and change the culture of how we manage brain trauma in our game," said Sean Morey, member of the NFLPA Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Committee.

"Given the support Muze Connects has received from so many NFL players, it is an honor to assist the NFLPA in raising money and awareness for such a critical issue," said Bill Deacon, Founder/CEO of Muze Connects. "The issue of health and safety in sports touches all of us. We are thrilled to be a partner in this initiative."

The Echoes shirt was made famous by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, a member of the NFLPA Executive Board. Brees sported the tee during his post-game interview after the Saints defeated the Vikings, 14-9, on September 9 to open the 2010 NFL season.

"Purchasing an Echo T-shirt will demonstrate you stand with the Players of the NFL to protect youth athletes and maintain the integrity of our game," Morey said. "Please join our ONE TEAM effort as we build solidarity between the players of yesterday, today and tomorrow. By raising awareness and supporting independent research for sports-related concussions, we leave an enduring legacy that will impact the lives of others for decades to come."

It's a great cause and hopefully this helps raise awareness and lots of money for research.
