49ers RB Brian Westbrook Will Play In Week One

49ers coach Mike Singletary said running back Brian Westbrook (hamstring) will be available week one, according to Phil Barber of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. A hamstring ailment cost Westbrook the preseason finale, and he's barely taken any reps in San Francisco's offense since signing August 16. Westbrook looks like a great change-of-pace back, but rookie Anthony Dixon has probably become the smarter handcuff for Frank Gore.
