Giants quarterback Eli Manning does not expect much of a difference from the Panthers’ defense without standout defensive end Julius Peppers, who signed with the Chicago Bears in the offseason. Manning said the Panthers are “still talented” and added that the scheme has remained this season. “They are good at getting sacks,” Manning said. “They are just very good at getting turnovers and they don’t give up many points.” Manning did not put much stock in last season’s loss to the Panthers in which the offense and defense struggled. He said the game has been discussed upon prompting by reporters, although coach Tom Coughlin said earlier today that the players were reminded about their poor performance. “It’s not for family entertainment,” Coughlin said, when asked the message to the team.
