Titans head coach Jeff Fisher is trying to keep things a secret as long as possible for “competitive reasons.’’ He hasn’t told his competing cornerbacks – Jason McCourty or Alterraun Verner – who will start on Sunday against the Raiders opposite Cortland Finnegan. “They told us absolutely nothing,’’ Verner said. "You just go about your business and don’t worry about it,’’ McCourty said. “We are both preparing to (start), preparing like we’re going to be the guy.’’ The two players said they split reps in practice on Wednesday. McCourty, in his second season, started all four preseason games for the Titans. Asked of there’s a scenario where they’d been informed, but were asked to keep the answer from reporters, Verner said he can’t lie. “I am a pretty truthful person,’’ he said with a smile. “If (I say) we don’t know. We don’t know. You’ll get the same response from me and him.’’
