Seahawks To Waive FB Owen Schmitt, Sign RB Michael Robinson

Fullback Owen Schmitt will be waived by Seattle Sunday, continuing the roster churn. The news was first reported by Brian McIntyre of Scout.com and Mac's Football Blog and subsequently confirmed. McIntyre reported Schmitt is being released to make room for Seattle to sign Michael Robinson. Robinson previously played for the San Francisco 49ers. He is 223 pounds, a versatile player who actually played quarterback in college at Penn State.
