| Bills FS Jairus Byrd Returns To Practice | | | Buffalo Bills free safety Jairus Byrd returned to practice Saturday after having surgery on his groin during training camp. His status for the first game remains up in the air, but he's holding out hope of being back soon. "I’m feeling alright," Byrd said in remarks distributed by the team. "I’m coming back and we’ll see how things progress during the week. Everything is up in the air. I’m going to leave that to the coaches and how they see me moving around out there because as a player and competitor, I always want to play. So, whatever they say and thinks is best for the team, that’s what going to happen." Byrd said he's not in significant pain. He's upbeat about his chances of playing against the Miami Dolphins, but was noncommittal on whether he'll be allowed to return that soon. "I’m encouraged," Byrd said. "As a player and competitor, I feel like I can do anything. Like I said, that’s up to the coaches. That’s not my decision. That’s what they get paid for. I’ll leave it up to them and whatever they say is best for the team, ultimately we want to win the game." Source: Aaron Wilson, National Football Post | | |
