The Arizona Cardinals have traded guard Reggie Wells to the Philadelphia Eagles for an undisclosed draft pick, the team announced. Wells (6-4, 305) has started 90 of his 104 games with the Cardinals, who selected him in the sixth-round (177th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Division II Clarion (PA) University. Wells became a full-time starter in 2004, and after going on IR with a broken ankle in 2005, has started 64 consecutive regular season games for Arizona. Wells is scheduled to earn $2.4 million in base salary this season, the final year of his current contract. In Philadelphia, Wells will presumably replace or push Stacy Andrews for the starting right guard position.
