Browns RB Montario Hardesty May Have Torn ACL

Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty left last night's game with a left knee injury, and the preliminary diagnosis is a torn ACL, ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hardesty battled injuries throughout his college career, including a torn ACL in his right knee as a freshman. A bone bruise to his right knee kept Hardesty sidelined for most of training camp and the first three pre-season games. Losing Hardesty for the season would be a big blow to the Browns' running game, which was looking to pair the 6-0, 225-pounder with Jerome Harrison (5-9, 205) to hopefully a running back tandem capable of moving the chains and controlling the clock. With Hardesty out, 2009 sixth-round pick James Davis, who spent much of his rookie season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, is expected to gain more carries, as will Peyton Hillis.

Fuck me, they say a year out, but I'd be worried about him ever taking shape now with major injuries to both knees. Glad we traded up for him.

it's torn.

And so far my prediction of him being a bust is spot on.

that city is fucked. I drafted his late last weekend and my buddy says, "Isn't he hurt?" I say, He's better and should get some snaps in the last preseason game. My buddy says, watch him tear his ACL, "Cleveland Style", well wouldn't you know it.

Glad I drafted Harrison. I was never sold on the trade up to begin with. I almost always hate trading up though.
