| Cowboys RB Felix Jones Unconcerned With Slow Start | | | Running back Felix Jones typfies the halting start of the Dallas Cowboys' offense. In two exhibition games, Jones has produced a total of 11 yards on four tries: three runs and one pass reception. In the regular season last year, Jones averaged 5.96 yards every time he handled the ball from scrimmage. Jones attributed his showing and the overall offensive funk to the time of the season. The Cowboys have so far played it very straight on offense, not offering any tips as to how they will play during the regular season. "It's the pre-season,'' Jones said. "We're working on little fundamentals and focusing on that now, letting young guys get more reps. ... We do our (first-team) work on the practice field now.'' Source: Dallas Morning News | | |
