Fox Sports' Jay Glazer claims that Vikings quarterback Favre did indeed text teammates last week claiming that he'd retire, but that his decision went back into limbo after an outpouring of texts and calls from Vikings players asking him to come back for one more season. "He's torn," said a member of the Vikings. "I think in his mind he was done, but loves the guys in this locker room and doesn't want to let them down. He didn't want to (come back), but I don't think he can say no to these guys. He's tortured." Favre claims that he never sent out text messages to Vikings players, though Glazer's report contradicts that statement. Regardless, Favre is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews sometime in the near future to have his ankle evaluated, and it sounds like that ankle will determine whether or not Favre is back this season.
So Brett DID send out text messages.....fucking hate liars. Go die you fucking queen.
Until Favre admits to sending out text messeges in never happened. Unless one is shown as proof or someone has actual proof it didn't happen as far as im concerned.
I don't know, Shiancoe is the only one who said that there were text messages, but he didn't get one himself. No one else on the team has said they got one, as far as I know. We'll probably never know for sure.
I like Glazer, he seems to get inside the locker rooms and gets the real story. Favre is still a drama queen but Glazer is right, how can he say no when pretty much the entire team wants him back? Unless his ankle is in danger of falling off during a game, Favre will be back for this season.
