He has 4,081 yards in five seasons and also 151 catches for 1,249 yards despite sharing time with Ricky Williams. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2008 — the year after the first of his two serious injuries, when he went down for the season in the seventh game with a torn ACL in his right knee. Last season he started the first nine games and had rushed for 648 yards before breaking his foot, again ending his year. He had hoped his 2009 efforts would be enough to warrant a new contract from the Dolphins but instead settled for a one-year deal with an eye toward making this season one that proves his worth and Brown is quick to dismiss the notion that he's injury prone. "More like freak injuries," he says. "I mean like, on my knee injury, I didn't get hit by anybody. I was jogging across the field, and I stopped for a second to look at something and the knee just buckled. And then last year, I'm running, and I make a guy miss, and I planted and the guy just fell on the back of my foot. Source: USA Today | | |
