The word on the street early in the NFL offseason seemed to be that wide receiver Terrell Owens was basically an unwanted man and that no teams really desired his services. But ProFootballTalk.com reveals that five teams, including obviously the one that signed him, the Cincinnati Bengals, had some level of interest in bringing the controversial Owens onboard. The St. Louis Rams pulled out of the running on Monday. The other three that had at least had some interest, ProFootballTalk.com reports, are the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, and Oakland Raiders. The latter pair "dropped out before the process got too far along," the site notes.
well, this is somewhat innaccurate. T.O. himself said that he was surprised that he was getting very little interest in his services. teams didn't start giving him serious consideration until very recently. we're not sure if those other teams had anything more than a passing curiousity.
Please, if he had a chance to be on the Jets he would've jumped on it right away. The guy wants a ring and that would've been his best bet at getting one. At least over Cincinnatti. No other team wanted him.
