| Rams Sign 6th Round Pick TE Fendi Onobun To A 4-Year Deal | | |
Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports the St. Louis Rams have signed sixth-round tight end Fendi Onobun to a four year deal worth roughly $1.92 million with a signing bonus worth about $129,000. Onobun, who played college basketball at the University of Arizona, bypassed playing professional basketball in Europe to transfer to the University of Houston and walked on to the football team in order to take pursue a career in the National Football League. Onobun ran a 4.48-40 at his Pro Day, with a 37.5” vertical leap and 11’01” broad jump. Onobun is a developmental prospect, who if he doesn’t earn a backup role, will almost certainly be looked to be added to the team’s practice squad.
