Brown, who had surgery to address a Liscfranc fracture, had previously taken part in team drills during offseason practices. "Ronnie had a simple procedure done that follows the procedure that he had," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said in remarks distributed by the team. "So, these are positive steps towards his deal there. So, we knew there was a date coming up here that we would shut Ronnie down for the rest of training camp and that was really after that minicamp, so, this is a really good thing.” Meanwhile, Brown told reporters today that he expects to definitely be back by training camp. “Doctor told me not to run for two weeks,” Brown said. “I’ve got to wait for the hole to fill in.” Brown added that he plans to sign his one-year, $3.97 million restricted free agent tender prior to a June 15 NFL deadline. "I’ll be on the team,” Brown said. “Obviously, you always want something to get done, but at the same time it ain’t like I’m holding out and not practicing.” Source: National Football Post | | |
