New York Officially Awarded Super Bowl XLVIII On 4th Vote

Super Bowl XLVIII will be played at the new stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., that is shared by the Giants and Jets. New York won out, defeating bids from South Florida and Tampa, sites that have hosted numerous Super Bowls. It took a second, a third vote and then a fourth vote from the NFL owners meeting in Texas this afternoon after South Florida was knocked out. That shows right there that some owners were opposed to the idea of taking the big game to the Big Apple. New York could not gain 75 percent (24 of 32 votes) to win on the third ballot, so, the Giants/Jets went to a fourth ballot where they won by majority over Tampa.

I'm gonna laugh if it's two southern teams playing in the game.

I'm hoping real football fans do Mush and not corporate guys and hollywood stars. Might be the best halftime performance ever.....won't be 70 year old rockers....too cold for their thinning blood.
