Jason McKie did not have to look long for a welcoming committee in New Orleans. The former Bears fullback signed a one-year contract with the Saints on Monday morning and he headed out for seafood at lunch with his former teammate, Alex Brown. McKie, who was released at the start of the offseason program with the Bears certain not to emphasize the fullback position, landed in a good spot. It is expected that he will compete with Zak Keasey for a backup role behind Heath Evans. Now, he reunites with a friend and joins one of the league's most high-powered offenses, one that utilizes the fullback, especially in the red zone.
