| Texans WR Andre Johnson To Report To OTA's Thursday | | | Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will report to Methodist Training Center on Thursday and participate in his first organized team activity, according to Andre Melton, his uncle and agent. Johnson met with Texans officials today and is scheduled to get with the team on Friday to discuss the state of his contract. Johnson has five years left on the eight-year, $60 million extension he signed in March of 2007. "I think we can work something out that'll be a win-win situation for everybody," Melton said today. Johnson didn't participate in the first three days of OTAs because he's unhappy with a contract that calls for him to make a base salary of $5.8 million this season. Smith said Monday that he would meet with Melton since the Texans don't talk contract if the player isn't present. "Andre will be back," Melton said. "I think we can get everything worked out."
