| | | Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio lashed out at CB Rashean Mathis after the veteran skipped the first day of the team's voluntary OTA sessions. Mathis, who had participated in the team's minicamp and offseason workout program, informed Del Rio he would skip the OTAs because he is unsatisfied with his contract, which has two years remaining. Del Rio said he viewed Mathis' decision as a lack of commitment to the team: "We expect 100% participation and we expect the best you can do every day. "Part of being dedicated is making sure you're here and arrive early. We had one guy who decided not to be here today. We're all free to make choices. In the end, our choices lead to consequences. I'm not happy with it. I don't support it." OTAs are voluntary practice sessions each team holds in the offseason. Teams cannot discipline players for failing to participate. Source: USAToday | | |
