Chargers Willing To Trade Shawne Merriman For A 2nd Round Pick?

The Chargers would apparently be willing to part with linebacker Shawne Merriman for a future second-round pick, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. There have been no takers thus far. There's no doubting Merriman's potential to be a game changer on defense when he's healthy and playing his best, but neither of those two things are guaranteed at this point. He'll likely remain a Charger heading into the 2010 season.

Who would give up that much for Merriman? They won't get anymore than a 3rd rounder for him.

But if steroids were legalized....think about all the other LBs that would have huge gains in their game.
