| Jets Sign Alabama LB Cory Reamer As A Free Agent | | | The New York Jets have signed former University of Alabama linebacker Cory Reamer to a free agent deal after the undrafted rookie tried out for the Jets at their weekend minicamp. "The guys that's really standing out to me is the kid from Alabama," Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters. "This guy is sharp." Reamer, a 6-foot-4, 234-pound linebacker, wasn't invited to the NFL scouting combine. Last season playing alongside Butkus Award winner Rolando McClain, Reamer registered 50 tackles, two sacks and one interception. "He wants to stay, that's obvious," Ryan said. "He's here competing and he wants to stay. Every year, there's a few guys that are like that." Source: National Football Post | | |
