49ers Santa Clara Stadium Unlikely To House Raiders

A stadium proposal in Santa Clara is gaining ground, and there is temptation to build it as a home for the Raiders and 49ers, but is that possible? Both the 49ers and the Oakland Raiders say new stadiums are part of their game plan. The proposed $937 million 49er facility in Santa Clara is in fact designed to accommodate two NFL teams, but is that likely, both organizations downplay the possibility. "We have no plans to share the Santa Clara stadium with another team. That's just not something that we plan to do and we're not working on it," says 49er spokesperson Lisa Lang.

letting the raiders in that stadium would be like letting a stray dog in your house that's infested with fleas.

Why not? Jets and Giants fans can co-exist in the same stadium.

Honestly I could care less, the stadium gets cleaned anyway. I know a lotta niners fans are gonna be like "dont let those f***ing raiders fans in our house!" But from an economical stand point it just makes sense. Their stadiums are already right accros the bay anyway.
