Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell To Attend Minicamp This Weekend

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that the Oakland Raiders plan to have quarterback JaMarcus Russell attend this weekend's mandatory minicamp and compete. ESPN's John Clayton originally reported on Tuesday that the Raiders were preparing to release Russell upon final word from owner Al Davis. Russell, who will turn 25 in August, has won only seven of his 25 starts as the Raiders extended an NFL-worst streak to seven straight seasons with at least 11 losses in 2009.
