Titans Interested In Albert Haynesworth In A Bargain-Basement Deal

On Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of The Nashville Tennessean downplayed the idea of the Titans acquiring defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, who the Redskins aren't happy with and tried to trade as part of the Donovan McNabb trade last week, and Wyatt still thinks it's a far-fetched idea, and doesn't expect it to happen. Wyatt has been told that the Titans is interested if the Redskins are willing to part ways with Haynesworth as part of a bargain-basement deal. The Redskins just got through paying Haynesworth a $21 Million bonus, $32 Million over the first year of the deal, his contract is more affordable to take on now and he would actually come cheap, over the next 3 years and he's due just $16.2 Million but Wyatt says he can't see the Redskins dumping him after one year after paying him that much.

I think he is gonna be a steal. He just fit into the Redskins "lets just collect names even if it means pounding a square peg into a round hole", like teaming one safety who stuggled in cover (AA) with another (Taylor). Playing essentially a two gap role, Haynesworth isnt gonna do what did to earn his contract, and thats penetrate gaps and make plays
