| Saints Say They Won't Trade DE/DT Anthony Hargrove | | |
Saints defensive end Anthony Hargrove, a restricted free agent, signed his one-year, $1.2 million tender Monday, and GM Mickey Loomis said it's not a precursor to a trade. The Lions, among other teams, had been interested in Hargrove, but Loomis said Hargrove, 26, is not on the trading block. Hargrove — who missed the 2008 season because of a third positive drug test — made a comeback in 2009 as part of a line rotation, starting six games and recording five sacks, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries, including one for a TD.
