| Redskins LB Brian Orakpo Expects More In His Second Year | | | Brian Orakpo smashed the Redskins' rookie record with 11 sacks, was the first NFL rookie to record four sacks in a game in 22 years and was chosen for the Pro Bowl. But he expects to do more in his second season. "I have a lot more confidence," he said. "I have a lot more of a leadership role, just pushing guys. Last year I was coming into a situation where I didn't know where I was going to be. I found out I was coming to the Redskins and was just trying to get my feet wet. Now, I'm one of the premier guys so I've got to bring it, improve on my game and try to help this team get better." Orakpo only forced one turnover last year, something that he plans on changing this season. "I look at (Indianapolis defensive end) Dwight Freeney," he said. "I look at (Pittsburgh outside linebacker) James Harrison; a lot of guys who are really ballhawks, really know how to get the ball out of the quarterback's hand and create big plays. I'm a guy who likes to make tackles, so I've got to work on being a little more relentless as far as being a ballhawk and getting the ball out." Source: USA Today | | |
